No matter the experience or no matter how good the sound is, poor song choices will ruin an event. If you think about it, the success of an event will come right down to how proficient the knowledge of music that the DJ has.

In the months and weeks that lead up to an event, a “play list” specific to the client will be established and more importantly a “do not play” list will be developed.

Jay carries with him a 1Tb hard drive of music in and within that hard drive, he has a complete library of the Billboard Top-100 from 1950 thru today.

Jay’s Jams prides itself on being a “Top-40” DJ, his mobile library is always fresh and current. But given today’s technology, Jay carries a mobile hotspot so a Wi-Fi connection is never an issue. Jay subscribes to multiple music sites and any song that has been copyrighted is always available.

Even though Jay always says that “he has it” and tries harder than any other DJ not to say “no”, he still gets asked to name specific genres of music.
